Colorful Puzzle Mom & Dad Designs for Ausitsm Awareness Month

My cousin is on the Autism spectrum, and so Autism has always been close to my heart. This month is Autism Awareness month, and Cafepress is running a promotion where a portion of proceeds from designs about Autism go to benefit Autism Speaks.

I wanted to create a clean, simple design to allow moms and dads of children with autism to show their pride. The design features clean lines, a child-like script, and the iconic multi-colored puzzle that has come to be the hallmark image of Autism awareness.

New Dad 2011: Movie Poster Style Design

Looking for a funny way to celebrate the new dad in your life, but tired of the same-old "dad to be 2011" designs? My husband, like many dads, is a total pop culture geek who loves movies. I wanted to design a unique dad shirt for him, that captured the inner movie buff. I have a long love of classic movie posters, and lately my husband has turned me on to minimalist movie posters.

I wanted to create a set of gifts for pop culture movie buff fathers that captured the aesthetic of a movie poster with a little dad-based humor thrown in. The full design is really beautiful in a bright blue that sets off the minimalist baby footprints.



The teaser line at the top reads, "Baby: Everything Changes" and in a spoof of traditional movie posters, the text below reads, "From the director of 'Bachelor' and 'Husband' comes a new film starring This Guy and Mommy. New Daddy Pictures presents a Fatherhood Productions Film." And the very bottom announces "Coming Soon 2011."

New "Angel Baby" design remembers the beloved children we have lost: Personalized at no additional cost

I have an ongoing personal commitment to the community of parents and families with premature babies. My own son was born early, so I know personally how challenging it can be to have a preemie in the NICU.

I realize too that some of those precious premature babies do not survive long in this world. And in the community of preemie parents, these sweet babies are called "angel babies."

So I finally put together a design for mothers, fathers, grandparents and others who wish to remember and commemorate their sweet angel baby.



I have also put the design on baby blankets, baby bodysuits and other commemorative items for baby, for families looking to find such things.
